Plume moth

This good looking plume is Emmelina monodactyla  aka the Common Plume - I tried hard to make it into something rarer but no can do.

Also in the trap last night was 4 Light Brown Apple Moths and 1 Ringed China Mark.

A Good Crop

Excellent night with a number of new (to me) micros including:
937 Agapeta hamana aka Common Yellow Conch and
1385 Anania crocealis aka Ochreous Pearl which wouldn't let me take its picture.

Also - 2 Ringed China Mark - 1 male and 1 female,  1 Mother of Pearl (surprised I don't catch more of these - they were numerous in our Hampshire days but just have the odd one here) and 1 1390 Udea prunalis.

Can't recollect having one of these before though there are several Pembrokeshire records each year.

Bee moth

Several crambids last night, a handsome Udea prunalis and this well marked Bee Moth.

Is It Summer?

7 (at least) micros last night - much more like summer.
 




Several crambids including 4 x chrysoteuchia culmella and 1x crambus perlella.
This Ringed China Mark (1348) was rather nice though the males are much  more attractive.

1498 A. punctidactyla (aka Brindled Plume) was a first here and 1341 E. lineola which I thought (hoped!!) was real rarity - I noted from Mapmate that 22 have been seen in Pembs. from the 1st in 1997 to the last in 2007.
Other "regulars" were 1063 Celypha striana and 1392 Udea olivalis .

About Time Too!

A better night for a change with 1392 Udea olivalis, 1390 Udea prunalis (pictured), 1293 chrysoteuchia culmella and 1063 celypha striana identified.

Quiet Times

Things have been moving slowly this year - just 3 micros last night -
3 x Light Brown Apple Moth, 1 Garden Grass Veneer (1293) and 1 celypha lacunana (1076) pictured.
